The myth and the real will question the role of the woman as fetish, who shows herself through peacock feathers and hides behind a Ramones-style hair cut.
Something makes that face-to-face with the audience quite difficult, it’s this dialogue between her and the camera, the time –live or prerecorded- that fits into a fixed shot.

I like sparkling water, writing, imagining things.
A girl lost in the world who ends in a better state than when she started. I psychoanalyse myself without any problem, without wanting to know who I am.
I am a scorpion on the back of a bull and Pluto leads my steps.
Eventually, plenty of irony.

Natural 2 is divided into four sections, each one created with a different collaborator.
In each one of the sections there is: a simple staging, a conversation and the series of actions entitled: “Take my body”.

Sònia Gómez meets each one of the collaborators separately, in the four sections and she lends herself as a normal work of art. She presents herself to them as a normal, ordinary person, made up of bones, soul and brain, raw materials comparable to clay, a canvas or a video. She lends herself as a complex identity, yet malleable within outlines she has set.

We find ourselves before a normal, ordinary person interested in acquiring knowledge.

The Collaborators

Section 1: Eduardo Miravalles, Painter, Advertising agent.

Section 2: Ceferino Galán, Editor of the fanzine El Naufraguito.

Section 3: MouseUp / d.a.r.y.l. Djs and creators of electronic dance music. They work with raw sounds, “Glitche”, microsounds and frequencies.

Section 4: Joan Morey: Interdisciplinary artist who works with photography, installations, video and performance. He is a creator of personal worlds in relation with nature, the urban world and the transformation of human beings into humanoids with contemporary iconographies.

Natural 2 is based on a form of expression which makes use of elements from theatre, music, performance, dance, visual creation, and plastic arts. This is a performance for all kinds of audiences, meant for performance in theatres and art centres.

The project is divided into two parts:
The show “Natural 2” where Sònia Gómez makes herself available for sale, and the individual performance series “Experiencias con un desconocido” (“Experiences with a Stranger”) in which a member of the audience / consumer can buy a personal and unique performance specifically created for this client.
